Visa
FACT has consistently been a part of the Student Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) since 1990. Any student wishing to receive flight training in a full course of study is required to enter the USA on an M1 VISA. FACT can issue the I20 so that you will be able to receive this VISA. For complete information on this process please go to http://www.ice.gov/sevis.
Letter Of Authenticity
If you are the holder of a foreign certificate and would like to train toward an additional FAA certificate (ex: commercial or rating (ex: Instrument or Multi-engine), the FAA requires that you first apply for a Letter of Authenticity. This Letter is only required if the certificate or rating that you are seeking initially requires you to hold an FAA Private. To request the Letter, please go the FAA website provided at www.faa.gov and click License and Certificate, then Airmen Certificates, and Verify the authenticity of a foreign License. Here you will find the information and application to begin the process, it may take between 4-6 weeks for the Letter to be completed and posted to you. You will present this Letter to an FAA Inspector or Examiner who will issue you a temporary Restricted FAA Private Certificate based on your possession for the foreign license. For your convenience, we can arrange to have an FAA inspector or examiner meet with you here at FACT.
